Hello!
My name is Mario. Since you came across this blog, let me give you a brief introduction to what this site is all about. I enjoy reading about stuff and sharing knowledge I was able to gain through these studies. Therefore, this site present a playground for my thoughts on the subjects I read about or insights that peaked my interest.
BIO
In my early years during my studies in Business and Economics at the university of Hohenheim (Stuttgart) I developed interest in a broad field of studies. Environmental management, game theoretical thought experiments and marketing. Well, it took me some time, but the realization to lay down a grounded base of knowledge in a specific subject led me to my master studies in an area of marketing.
It was at the university of Kassel, were I built on the foundation of what was later to come. The main fields of interests lied upon - dialog marketing theory - market communication strategies - targeting and segmentation strategies - customer relationship management
During that time, I enjoyed learning frameworks and concepts, combining them for new purposes or just as inspiration to use them in thought experiments that expand on the initial and theoretical concepts.
Work
But enough is said and written about my years as a student in a much too general way, anyway, at least for now. Next stop - the internship and working student job I was able to take part in at METRO. I learned much there, not just in work related experience, but more. For which I am to this day, really grateful for. In the retail business area, especially regarding the B2B headspace, it follows the old saying, for real, retail is ever-changing and ever evolving. And not just in the couponing and CRM aspects of the retail business as I was part in managing these. It started with more and more IoT, well, now it is AI - what will it be next?
To get a better feeling for ever-changing and evolving businesses I was able to do a full on market research for XTRONIC in the area of engineering in the automotive sector. I was able to build a market evaluation model, based on concepts I picked up during my studies. Although the model was quite static, it was a new and structured way to tackle the question, does this market area fit for my company and what risks influence the prospect.
